This a monument to a monumental storm dubbed the Pasha Bulker Storm 
on 8&9th of June 2007. 
The Pasha Bulker ran aground on Nobbys Beach and was stuck there for a couple of weeks. The metal in the image is from the rudder I have included some other images that are available in the public domain.
