Searching for gold

The young laburnum tree is magnificent this year with its beautiful blooms hanging like a golden waterfall. I was trying to photograph some of the higher ones which were still catching the late afternoon sunlight when I noticed a bee buzzing amongst the gold, looking for pollen. Although I had my zoom lens at full extent I wasn’t really expecting anything more than a dark dot amongst the gold so I was really pleased that the bee’s wings show up quite well in the photograph.
It’s been another glorious day of sunshine and blue skies.
