Gifts From the Heart

Kim and my sister love everything gnome. When she and her hubby stopped by this morning, I gave her the birthday gift Kim left for her (our house is the central drop off and pick up point for the family). She loved and appreciated the gift. Since she has no kids, my children have adopted her and vice versa although she has a close relationship with all of her nieces and nephews. For Mother’s Day, Kim gave me the same shaped sign but with a goldfinch and sunflower, birds and bloom being my decorating preference. To clear up any confusion, this is not the sister who broke her ankle. We have not heard an update from her today so I guess she is still in a holding pattern. I mentioned the NYC bagels Kim brought us back. Thought you’d find this one interesting. The brilliant colors did not change the flavor at all; they are delish. Hubby and I went to the base to pick up meds and then to the grocery store. We ordered a wildfire chicken salad to take home for lunch. I may iron later (after nap time); hubby will be going to Kristen’s to put down the stair trim he cut a few weeks ago. I think they are making good progress on the deck. Sending wishes that you had a pleasant day. Thanks for dropping by. Stay safe. "You know well enough that Our Lord does not look so much at the greatness of our actions, nor even at their difficulty, but at the love with which we do them." – St. Therese of Lisieu
