Oyster Catchers.

After a night with a howling gale which was continuing unabated we decided to keep warm by walking from the campsite into Morecambe along the Bay. BRRRRRR! The wind was vicious and spending the night in the gale in our trailer tent was exciting!
The bird life in the Bay was fabulous. There are loads of colourful oyster catchers, curlews, ducks, gulls and we saw skylarks camouflaged on the salt marsh.
We treated ourselves to a cocktail in the Midland Hotel - well deserved!
