Last man sitting

The day he moved out was terrible –
That evening she went through hell.
His absence wasn't a problem
But the corkscrew had gone as well.

He was squeezing out the last of the sunshine and the bottle down by the waterfront. As long as he was sheltered from the chilly wind there was no need to rush indoors or finish the glass in needless haste. Still time to chill out before the sun set and chilling became a reality.
