California Fan Palm

which planted itself 40 years ago came down today, they can be a nuisance. Their seeds spread all over and you can end up with a whole lawn of little palms. These trees need a lot of care. We enjoyed it while it lasted, but it was getting too big. We have lots of trees around us, that's how I justify this decision.
So the gardeners came back today, some people have to work on this Memorial Holiday, that's why it's called a 'bank holiday'.
On TV we can see all the memorials today from all over the country. 
We shall honor our veterans.
Our clubhouse had a party but I stayed home because the sky is gray and we have some sprinkles all day. I had a meal ticket with 2 champagne tickets going to waste. :-))
