Cycling challenge

I have rashly promised my friend that I will do a cycling challenge in June so today I got the bike out to check it over. Well, it still works so all I need to do now is work on my motivation!
We had a planned power cut for 5 hours today. Its strange how you just take electricity for granted until its not there. It seemed that everything I wanted to do today needed power. I had the foresight to make a flask of tea but forgot to charge my phone or kindle. I could have mowed the lawn, listened to the radio, gone through Blip, sent some emails but.....no I couldn't. I did actually audibly cheer when it came back on.
On a separate note, 2 analogue clocks stopped at 6.30 this morning. Spooky.
