"The Bread Of John"...

...Yes, John's been into the kitchen again, and as we were almost out of bread - and I'd had a bad night (with breathing) - he decided that this morning was - The Morning of the Bread Making - Episode No. 5 I think..rather than to go down to the corner shop, or around the corner to the big stores..after all - home-made bread is rather nice as well toasted, we discovered..as the previous 4 loaves have turned out one inch tall..and toasted... and he thought he must be doing something dreadfully wrong somewhere..

...Our daughter tells us: 'It's all trial and error Mum' - and that's what John's been up to with No.5 - this time double the mix - and Grain Flour instead...I just measured the height and it's - 2 inches tall - but at least he said, it looks more presentable than a loaf which is 1" tall..and just as round in the same tin ofcourse.

...I can tell you, he's having fun and none of it goes to waste anyway, he said he's going to try Honeycomebeach's recipe again next time...But I'm very proud of him and so here is No.5, and I'm sure it won't last long...

PS: ...You can see the persimmons are still going strong, a crisper full still, plus bowls, they're very nice when completely ripe, we discovered -very expensive here, and I do believe are rich in Vit.C...
