The Hoy Ferry

A grey start to the day.  Two frustrations; dancing was cancelled and a certain EH Blipper sent me a seemingly endless stream of pics showing blue sky.  Undaunted it perked up in the afternoon.

Went along to see Davie, and his son who is home from Glasgow Uni.  As I have previously reported, even though his mobility must be reduced by 90%, he still speaks very coherently, phlegmatically and dispassionately.  He is always glad to have a catch up on the news.  The Current Mrs Creel had made him a batch of buns which were shared round.  Once again a very humbling visit.  Then straight round to see Dougal whose health is also exceedingly compromised.  Unfortunately he had a heavy cold and another urinary infection.  Coupled with his chemo treatment, and other problems, his resistance is low.  Hopefully he’ll perk up after a planned trip to the Aberdeen Infirmary next week.

Both visits certainly gave me a sense check.

I have just been informed that when CMC is getting her accordion lesson from Karen tomorrow that I’ll be outside digging K’s garden at one and the same time.

Be good, all of you.
