Coots

A trip to Victoria Park, Widnes, for the seasonal opening of their very lovely butterfly house. We got there early, so wandered over to the lake where a pair of coots were feeding sweetcorn to their newly hatched chicks. 
So good to see that visitors were  offering sweetcorn, rather then white bread. 
The butterfly house was delightful and I took a couple of blip-worthy images, but, as I'll be there again in a couple of weeks, I thought these excellent parenting skills of the coots should take priority.
