Penrith.

Today Adam was coming home from Kent after seeing his sister and his nephew.  He was coming by train to Penrith where I was picking him up.  Across the road is Penrith Castle and so my Blip was chosen.
This castle was built in the medieval time and was used to try and halt Scottish raids.
What I like about it is the red coloured sandstone.  This gives the appearance of being a rich red when the stone is 'hit' by the sun.
Penrith Castle is one of many castle built across the north of England.  The A66 now follows that route.
