Glen Finglas Reservoir

I've been slacking a bit on the 30 Reservoir Challenge so today I started to put that right. It's a holiday in Glasgow and my grandson is going out and about with his mum. With no Monday childminding we set off for the Glen Finglas estate near Brig o Turk. Owned by the Woodland Trust it's a beautiful area of oak woods with a number of paths and trails to walk. For our walk there was an ascent bit of an incline so we took it slowly in the strong sunshine. The reservoir is attractive. It was created in the 1960s as part of the water supply for Glasgow. On the return bit of the walk I spotted this nice tin shed in the dappled sun. See extra. Unfortunately Cameraman pulled a muscle in his leg but fortunately we were close to the Brig o Turk tearoom by then so we sat with a coffee for a while. In all it was only a five mile walk but that felt quite satisfactory.

The weather is beautiful.  I might have to do some watering.
