Fly orchid

Back in Oxfordshire and on my first walk with the spaniel I stumbled across a little group of Fly orchids. The fly-shaped flowers attract male digger wasps by releasing a scent that resembles the female digger wasp's pheremones. I never cease to be amazed at how these kinds of relationship have evolved.
