Avebury.
We travelled back from our holiday in Dorset and as we usually do we made the detour to Avebury. Stopping there makes what would be a tedious journey part of the holiday. After lunch we walked around the stones enjoying the lovely sunshine and warm breeze.
Another photo of stones and a distant view of Silbury Hill in extras. Silbury Hill stands 40 metres (131 ft) high and covers about 2 hectares. The hill was constructed in several stages between c.2400–2300 BC
