It’s been a week for gardening other people’s gardens. Today was the turn of 78 year old Herbie whose only request was to remove the burgeoning bamboo
Turns out it was mission impossible. One hour and we’d cleared a patch not even half a metre square. A quick Google revealed that the modus operandi of this wolf in lambs clothing is ‘ infest’. The rhizomes are so complicated gnarly and thick you literally have to chop and remove in Pieces. Not satisfying
You can tell by N’s face how much we were enjoying it. Over tea I googled again and the trip advisor like reviews made us abandon ship
