Souther Fell

Back home, blipping before we all head off to bed. It’s been a tiring weekend but I’m very glad we went to support Pete. Sadly he didn’t complete the Round this time, coming down off Red Pike after almost 19 hours. We were on our way in Ed’s van to meet Pete at Honister, but he, Sarah, Rob and Andy came down to Wasdale so Ed left us at Honister and went off to fetch them home. D, Jess and I caught the bus back to Keswick where we were picked up and taken back to the camping barn.

It was good to spend the weekend in a beautiful spot and to meet new people. I had a lovely walk this morning over Souther Fell - here you can see the path up from Mungrisdale, where many boots have trodden a path up the fellside. Souther Fell has a long top and Jess enjoyed a run up there amongst the cotton grass (extra).

We picked up Joe on the way home and he is giving Sarah a lovely and much needed shoulder massage before bed.
