Northallerton 10K
Until I heard the cheers and clapping outside my house I didn't know the Northallerton 10K was happening let alone passing my way.
It wasn't until after I took this shot then looked the event up online did I realise I had actually photographed the back of Rishi Sunak* running by!
There were a 1000 runners (Mr Sunak was No1001) all doing their stuff in aid of the Pendragon Community Trust, a local centre specialising in sensory therapy for adults and children. Well done to everyone who organised and took part in this event.
*Social media photos at the start showed Mr Sunak wearing a blue event top, black shorts, white Adidas socks, Nike running shoes and had his phone strapped to his left arm. I realised he was one of those I photographed. Having a number of large runners around him also gives it away...
He is not only the Prime Minister but our local MP and is often seen supporting local events. Running 10K seems a little more effort than just cutting a ribbon.
