Eventually ventured out to go for our weekly swim only to find out that our usual swimming pool was closed. Instead we went to the one in Charlottenburg. It's in a bit of Berlin that we haven't really explored yet at all. The swimming pool didn't come with the modern facilities that we are used to, but then it is the oldest one in Berlin, soon going to be 125 years old. On the way home we had the best ice cream so far. The U Bahn stations are also fantastic and will feature in future. Once we got back we had a little wander in our bit of Berlin and went for a drink in one of our favourite places. Even the teenager came along. I recently spotted this sculpture by Arminius Hasemann who also made the fabulous brick sculptures of the old bus depot.
