Bring On The Lake District!
This is the view of our garden from the cottage we are staying in for the next few days. We are situated in a village called Cark. The cottage is very old, massive & fabulously situated surrounded by pleasant countryside. The "local" pub is 10yards away from the front door (yes, really), which is nice.
Just in case you are thinking that I was a bit "trippy" when taking this shot, this is how a sun-lit garden would look when shot in Infrared. The original IR image (in-camera) came out with orange sky & pale purple grass/leaves (like this) with very little adjustments. In PS, the red/blue channels were "switched" (standard proceedure in IR photography) giving the resulting blue sky & white grass.
As this was a long exposure you will notice a few bodies (& a dog) moving about. What took me by supprise here, was the colour of the (blue) strawberries in the wine glasses on the table, which came out yellow in the original image. And the Teepee, or tent, is a dark camouflage colour to the naked eye.
Anyway less of the tech talk, bring on tomorrow - steam train, boat trip & rowing in Windermere...............
ps: thanks for all the comments over the last few weeks during my Alphabet series & Guess The Movie series.
