No-Mow May

My own version of no-mow May has been no-weed paving. As a result, the poppies have gone wild in the gaps between the paving slabs & in the hare corner of the garden. In this shot, the Welsh poppies (Papaver cambricum) have pride of place, having blown in & created a patch of sunshine in shadow. All the heads are turning in anticipation of the afternoon sun coming through the gate.
