Strawberries and cream
Every afternoon I’m taking Albi out to walk in the Clifton Backies, it’s an extensive series of meadows that have greened a WW2 airfield. It’s really beautiful with a huge variety of trees, grasses and wild flowers. Absolute heaven to have on your doorstep. The hedgerows all around are bursting with May blossom, some of it inexplicably pink and white. However, there’s a lovely article by Mark Cocker from 2016 that explains it
