Tsitsernakaberd

Memorial in Yerevan to the victims of the Armenian Genocide perpetrated by the Ottoman Empire. An eternal flame burns in the centre in memory of the estimated 1.5 million victims. It is surrounded by 12 pillars representing the 12 provinces of Western Armenia that are now in Turkey.
