Fire burn and cauldron bubble.....

A damp start but the sun burned through by the afternoon turning it into a scorcher.
A morning spent sorting out more cows and calves and a few more out to the grass.
Then the freeze brander here this afternoon to do the 32 in calf heifers. They get a letter and number on their flank. This is done with a cold brand,the irons are in this tub of dry ice. The cold kills the pigment in the hair so when it grows back it is white in the shape of the brand. Once they were done,ran them out to a field.
Then a quick turn around to run Littlemiss into town to an 18th birthday party. Back home and off to fill the jerry cans and top up the Land rover at the Shell garage. £204 just like that. How come there is now only 1p difference between petrol and diesel ? At least Dick Turpin wore a mask when he robbed you !
In the extra,one of my mugs decided to break. Presume it's cos it was a New Holland one !
