The Kōtuku
NZ White Heron
Only breeds in one area of the South Island.
We have a few of them here in Christchurch, well at least one!

Occasionally seen in our valley.
I saw this one this morning while out walking. Such a calm day and he/she was sitting on this rock , so very still.
