Lovers Or Fighters

They were huge, the biggest turtles I've seen here. It started with a ripple and before I knew, turmoil in the water. It reminded me of whale watching, seeing a fluke, but most of the action is below the surface. I got a lot of shots of tops of shells, one with both heads and a few with feet.

I wasn't quite sure whether they were rivals in a turf war, or engaging in turtle ecstasy.

After it was over, one remained, rolling over and over. It was confusing, was it injured, or dying, or basking in afterglow. Then I saw the other slinking away, just an eye and top of shell, was it really a turtle or an alligator?
