Love is ..... unfurling together

Thank you all for your suggestions as to how best to overwinter my tulips and I will certainly do my best for them now.

This morning I spent a most enjoyable and relaxing couple of hours at the art class and then returned home for a quick lunch and then out with the dogs. I am completely mesmerised at the moment on my walk with the multitude of unfurling ferns. Bizarrely they remind me of meerkats when seen from a distance, but up close you can see how each frond is tightly curled patiently waiting to be released as the hairy stem gently straightens.

A little more work in the garden but to be honest it was too chilly to do the main jobs I need to tackle so I came inside for a cuppa instead.
