Yellowhammer
A cloudy start but the sunshine soon followed, and a perfect morning for a local wander at the nature reserve and once again I had it all to myself!
Bit sparce on the bigger bird front today but that meant the little ones could come out and play, and I was extremely chuffed to finally spot a yellowhammer over there! Just the briefest glimpse and one click of the camera and it was gone, but I'll take that! Also saw lots of swallows and swifts, reed buntings, corn buntings, whitethroat, goldfinches, egret and a squillion baby starlings!! They're louder than ever!
Still worryingly very few butterflies and bees spotted on my wander
