Bumblebee and blueberry blossoms.
It was supposed to rain all day but I guess Mother Nature didn't get that memo. I woke up to cloudy skies, checked the forecast and the radar and there was no rain showing for here. So I messaged everyone and said that we are working. We did the job that was postponed from yesterday and did some weeding at a couple of places. I didn't really have anything else on the Halifax side to get done, so I called it a day at noon.
After lunch and a couple of errands I decided to take a short walk at Shubie Park, it's been a few weeks since I was there. Lots of green now instead of all the browns and grays.
This morning as I was leaving for work I heard a different bird singing. I opened the Merlin app on my phone. I was very tempted to be late to meet the crew. The app said I had a rose breasted grosbeak, a blue headed vireo, a red eyed vireo, a black throated green warbler, an American redstart and a northern parula, in addition to the usual ones. Four of those 6 birds would have been lifers for me. I guess I need to have time in the back yard in the mornings. Of course, even if I had seen one I didn't have my camera ready to get a photo.
