The Hound of the Baskervilles

Yes , we are staying for one night at Baskerville Hall the source of Arthur Conon  Doyle’s famous thriller.
Every year since we started coming to Hay Festival I have wanted to stay at this iconic literary hotel but the opportunity never arose. Thanks to a cancellation we got a booking.
All fears that it would disappoint and the Hall, now a hotel, would be gentrified dissipated the moment we arrived . It’s as gloomy and atmospheric  as one could ish, no wonder Conon Doyle was inspired.
