Skylarks and Buttercups

After a day of working in the garden and washing car, van and all the windows (phew) we went for a stroll on Selsely Common.

The skylarks were mostly hidden away in the meadow grasses of course, but occasionally one could identify where one had landed, after delighting us with the in flight songs. I did get some in flight, but always from the rear (meh), so I guess I'll go back and try again at some stage. This one has just lowered its crest, and was quite happy for me to get reasonably close - probably tired from all the flying singing eh...

Janet quickly tired and we went back home. I did like this shot of her in the far distance (extra)
