Looking to Pitlour Hill.
A sunny but slightly chilly morning. I'm getting into the habit of doing ten minutes or so of weeding in the front garden before feeding the birds and breakfast. The blossom on my coppiced rowan is coming out. After breakfast I dismantled the container of bulbs outside the kitchen window and replanted it with summer bedding. Now I've got bulbs to plant elsewhere. I'm thinking of planting a few of them beside Andy's mystery tree while he's at work. That would give him a surprise next spring. Some weeding got done by which time it had warmed up and was a glorious sunny day. After lunch, I set Roomba going downstairs and went off to Jamesfield Garden Centre near Newburgh to look for plants for a final container beside my arbour. Came back over the hill road to Strathmiglo and found my blip on the way, Then it was milk at the Pillars and a bottle of their own cider. It's delicious stuff and it soon runs out. It was lovely to settle on the sofa with a drink ,a few crisps and James Robertson's And the Land Lay Still.. It's a book that repays re-reading.
