Tangy with a touch of sweetness

Lunch and whisky tasting with friends. We stayed a while. One of our group joined the society, on my introduction. Which means I got this bottle to take home. I guess I should share it with him!

The society has a specific model, buying a cask from an individual distillery and then maturing it and bottling up small batches, to sample or sell.

You can in theory find out where they came from, and so relate it to the more common classification of distillery name or 'Speyside, Islay' etc.

But the team prefer to focus on the taste and promote flavour profiles ('sweet and spicy, oily and coastal' etc), with wonderful tasting notes and unique names. As you can see on this bottle.
