Two Home Guard graves from 1944 in the churchyard at All Saints Whitstable. It was a large and lovely churchyard with chestnuts and May in bloom. The two friends died when decommissions ammunition and explosives when the Home Guard was about to be stood down. A third man is buried elsewhere along with his 26 year old daughter, a nurse on leave who was also present for some reason.
