Resident chicken/rooster

This bird arrived in our street over the weekend and has now taken up residence at the Sign of the Takahe garden. It is quite tame and shows little fear of the passing dogs. 
I began packing for our holiday today but managed to fall while moving some things. I now have a large bruise on my shin and very sore muscles. Hopefully I will be able to walk long distances on holiday.
