Front Yard

Those roses loved the heavy winter rains; it’s been a long time since they were sated. The big tree in the background is a dogwood that grew much bigger than I expected. 

I did go out for an early morning walk, but stayed inside for the rest of this cold dismal day. There’s pozole simmering in the InstantPot, and cornbread in the oven—a nice winter meal for a typical coastal summer day.
