A new way home
Sue has been traveling between Portland and Yachats for nearly 50 years, but today we discovered a new route, avoiding highways (including the one where seven people were killed in a pile-up on the day we drove down).
Orchards of apple, pear, and filbert; fields of clover and bee-hives; a few cattle; some sheep (a rarity); and many, many vineyards. It was a perfect day, and it didn't take much longer by this route than by the highway--with much less stress. We are home, and our minds are full of beautiful images from the trip down to Yachats and back.
