Birthday Girl and Her Flowers
We thought we were going to just chill on our last day at the farm. But there are always last minute tasks that must be done. Our BIL made a special homemade blueberry pancake breakfast for his bride’s birthday. He and hubby cut and trimmed the spacious lawn, we did laundry, inventoried what was staying here and packed food and clothes. Sugar and I took walks to enjoy all my sister’s new plants. I snapped photos of most varieties. She cuts off the blooms before we leave so the plants can grow stronger and larger. They always look lush when we return. Unfortunately, hubby and I will be tied up in June and July so our next visit will be in August. Our BIL is ready to start the steaks for dinner so I’d better get busy. For some reason, we had cell service outside last night; I tried to catch up on all of your journals. Thanks for visiting. Stay safe. “A sister is a gift to the heart, a friend to the spirit, a golden thread to the meaning of life.” - Isadora James
