Bird cherry

A particularly good year for Bird Cherry blossom here on Speyside where the frothy racimes have replaced the purer white of wild cherry blossom in the woods and hedge rows. They will be followed in the autumn by small black currant- like fruits
 The bird cherry - Prunus padus is also known as hackberry, hagberry or Mayday tree.
