An afternoon of clearing bookshelves.
The work of de cluttering continued this afternoon even though it was a sunny warm day, 17c and I longed to be outside strolling beside the canal or walking to the park and taking photos of flowers, trees and squirrels.
My collage shows the tip of the iceberg! Books, ornaments, photo albums, files of poetry and much more. So many treasures re discovered after 34 years. We loaded all the carefully dusted albums into one of the cardboard boxes we bought from Bigdug. They are really useful and strong. They come with labels already on the box with space to write what is in the box and which room it is going to, eg kitchen, bedroom ...
The Owl and the Pussy cat jugs escaped the charity shop. I just love them too much. Too sentimental.
It is emotionally draining but essential work.
Paul made a trip to Clitheroe YMCA and the recycling centre. He has been a tower of strength.
Tomorrow the Estate agent is going to bring our first viewer. I think they have been told we are still packing. They are looking for a property to buy to then let, which is popular around here.
I have enjoyed following the television coverage about the Chelsea Flower Show. It makes a good contrast to all the house work.
Have a lovely evening and thank you for dropping by.
