Poppies

We had a busy domestic day with more work in the garden, bread baking and a visit to the tip with all the garden waste we’ve created with our recent endeavours, interspersed with a swim at lunchtime.

The poppy we planted in the garden last year is still  in rather sickly bud, while this wild one, which has seeded itself in the front garden wall, is flowering healthily already.
