Silly Saturday ...

... Unity.

While out this afternoon we passed saw this hot air balloon.  What we hadn't realized at first was that it was anchored in a cemetery!  How silly!

The nearby church was have a Unity Fest and the balloon was part of the festivities.  We assume they were giving 'rides' in the balloon as we saw people getting into the basket and the balloon going up for a few minutes before descending back to the ground.  It was quite funny to see it in the cemetery, though. 

After all we went through to get the birdbath from Lowe's on Tuesday we have decided to return it.  We thought getting a ceramic birdbath was for the best but it turns out that the glaze becomes too slippery when wet for the birds to get the proper grip.  And the lovely green color only seems to attract doves! 

When we returned the birdbath to Lowe's we purchased a concrete one that is supposed to attract hummingbirds ... we shall see how that works out.  

Speaking of hummingbirds ... thank you for the love shown to the beautiful female I posted yesterday.
