Arlington Court

This National Trust house is the closest to us in Barnstaple. I popped over today for a quick meander, hoping to catch the magnificent azaleas in the Victorian Garden - too late really, as the recent hot weather has burnt off a lot of the blooms. However, from a distance they do look lovely.
The lad and his chocolate Labrador were delightful - he admitted his is naughty/disobedient, exactly like our Cracker was! Somehow the chocolate ones are so different to the golden ones! They seem harder to train...but such fun!
The wisteria was glorious and the scent heavenly! Extra.
I had a lovely cool walk - the sun did not appear much so it was pleasant without being hot.
Home again and the sun came out to play again. Lovely!
