The Wasteland

The patch next door is becoming more of a garden as our cast-offs are slowly getting established. Today, two more added - underperforming camillias. "Camellia are easy to grow, glossy evergreens" says the RHS. Not in our garden, they’re not , though probably a bit more soil care would have paid dividends. Not literally - they'd just not have yellow leaves and few flowers. 
Later, a film: Godland. A tremendous, well, trailer, for starters. Yes, and other good stuff too. But it didn’t hit the heights of wonder and awe that I thought it would. I mean, it was Aguirre, Wrath of God. There was Tarkovsky in there too. Perhaps I’m not a stoned student any more.
