The Lake District

Booked a cottage in Cark, Cumbria for a family week holiday and although we are having a great time together the weather hasn't been kind. Saturday and Sunday were sunny days but yesterday and today it has rained most of the time. Went to Kendal today and this is a blip of one of the streets there. As can be seen everyone is suitably dressed for the occasion!
The cottage we are staying is 200 (ish) years old and has plenty of low beams for me to bang my head on. The added bonus though is that the local pub, The Engine Inn, is 50 yards from the front door! Their food and selection of beers is excellent. What more do you want!
