Swallowtail

A beautiful long hike with RS today at North Chagrin on two trails I've never hiked before that may become favorites....the Chagrin River Trail from Rogers Field to Oxbow Lagoon and NC2 Bridle Trail from Squires Castle to the Horse Trailer Parking Lot.  Spectacular weather.  Great company.  No injuries.   Lots of wildflowers and birdsong.  I went into the lagoon to recover some litter and a fishing bobber. 

We scared a group of swallowtails that we didn't see on the muddy trail.  Here's one that I was able to catch with my camera.  Extras of a beautiful gnarly tree and a man in the river.
