Sad

I’ve had a really sad day and spent a lot of time crying. I heard back from the landlord about our request to have Jess and it was an emphatic NO. I phoned a couple of dog rescue centres (my absolute last choice for her) and they were all inundated and didn’t sound hopeful for a dog of Jess’ age. I sent a message to my old local preschool group on the off chance they knew of someone who might adopt Jess. Miraculously somebody in the group’s mother in law was looking for a dog to adopt on Mull, I had a phonecall with her in the afternoon and it looks like Jess has a home. We drove over to Cannon’s parents to leave Jess there until we can sort out ferries and travelling next week. I’m ready for bed.
