Coastal flowers

A cloudy, warm day and perfect for a visit to a coastal nature reserve, just over an hour away.

On arriving skylarks could be heard although not many other birds to be seen on tbe reserve. The landscape was full of colour with sea holly intermingling. Phoebe loved the beach and was nosey enough to investigate a young woman searching the shell line, we could only see three people along the beach and three more further out digging. The beach was covered in oyster and mussell shells as well as others, we assume the dig was mussels or similar.

A few motorhomes had parked up along the road, it was a dead end, this brought back memories, this would be an idyllic place to stay for a few nights.

Along the way we spotted a male hen harrier, a kite - probably red, egrets, grey wagtails, swallows, a buzzard and the skylarks,
A quick shop in Intermarche and refill of petrol. This evening the cats are prowling, the owner likes them in at night, I’m happy with this although this evening one of the cats is prowling, this upsets the others.
