Baby Blackbird

This fledgling blackbird was my companion in the garden this morning showing no fear and coming right up to me. I just hope it has more respect for the cats that come into the garden! 

I had watched the parent bird depositing seed down its wide open beak on the bird table earlier and that bird is  also extremely tame and usually appears whenever I go down the garden.
