PAX Verbascum.

Herself fell in love with Verbascum many moons ago. 41yrs "today" (Yesterday when typed) so we thought ... "What the hell, let's risk the wrath of the road ragers and have a look at Hayes, with an option on Grasmere "Garden Village".
The down-side - 15 m.p.h. into Ambleside from not far out of Grasmere and the fact that most of the decent grub had gone while we waited to see if the queue would shrink.
The up-side - We managed (I hope) to capture a scented, old fashioned type Azalia and yet another Verbascum, lets hope this one plays the game.
A possible contender was a notice, which we'd have missed at speed, on a fence on the way to Ambleside: it read "BEWARE OF THE CHICKENS". Any likelihood of beng pecked into oblivion?
