Estuary view

Walked the dog this morning down through the wood to the side of the estuary. It looked gorgeous through the trees and Digby enjoyed going down onto the mud banks!

Had been invited out to lunch so having hoovered the lounge and the kitchen we took the car to yealmpton! Lunch in the garden was lovely and then we walked down the river and across some fields that were full of buttercups. I remember buttercups that were very small, maybe the size of daisies but these were quite statuesque among the unmowed grasses! We came back along the river so Digby could have a cool off!

Had to welcome at church tonight so left Digby at home and received an excited welcome. Took him for a wuick walk and came home to empty the dishwasher I was expecting them back about 19.30 but in fact they were home before it was dark! They are very tired and shocked but all is well! Their air bags had gone off in the collision which has left Fran with pain in her chest! Their experience of French hospital was very positive! No waiting and great kindness! Not something they would ever wish to repeat! Digby was over the moon and it was good to see them back hopefully they will sleep well in their own bed!
